Mishk\u00edn-Qalam (1824\u20131912), a title meaning “The Musk-scented Jet-Black Pen,”<\/em> was one of the foremost calligraphers of 19th-century Persia. Born M\u00edrz\u00e1 \u1e24usayn-i-Isfah\u00e1n\u00ed, he rose from a chance encounter in a Tehran bazaar to a post at the royal court, then gave up that comfortable life for his beliefs in unity of humankind. His devotion cost him arrest, nine years of imprisonment in Cyprus, and a lifetime of exile, yet he never stopped creating. His rendering of the Greatest Name is still used by Bah\u00e1’\u00eds around the world, and his work hangs today in collections including the \u0645\u062a\u0627\u062d\u0641 \u0647\u0627\u0631\u0641\u0627\u0631\u062f \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0646\u064a\u0629<\/a>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mishk\u00edn-Qalam was the leading calligrapher of Persia in his day, celebrated across the Persian world and beyond for a hand of extraordinary beauty and range. \u02bbAbdu’l-Bah\u00e1<\/a> \u0648\u0635\u0641\u0647 \u0628\u0623\u0646\u0647 \u062b\u0627\u0646\u064d M\u00edr \u02bbIm\u00e1d<\/a>, \u0645\u0642\u0627\u0631\u0646\u0629\u064b \u0625\u064a\u0627\u0647 \u0628\u0623\u0634\u0647\u0631 \u062e\u0637\u0627\u0637 \u0641\u0627\u0631\u0633\u064a \u0641\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0635\u0631 \u0627\u0644\u0635\u0641\u0648\u064a<\/a>.
