درباره این آرشیو
This collection brings together the visual record of Mishkín-Qalam in one place: portraits and photographs of the calligrapher, his signatures and tools, the cities of his life, and his works in the collections that keep them. It has been assembled first-hand by his descendants, who have visited public and private collections in person and documented some pieces here for the first time.
Portraits and Photographs of Mishkín-Qalam
Here are the surviving photographs and portraits of Mishkín-Qalam, all in one place. You can filter between three kinds: photographic portraits taken from life, painted portraits by various artists, and group photographs of him with family, fellow believers, and other figures of his time.
امضاها و مُهرها
Mishkín-Qalam signed his work as “Servant at the gate of Bahá”, and his seals and monograms are among the most reliable tools for authenticating pieces attributed to him.
مکانها در زندگی او
The cities and landscapes of Mishkín-Qalam’s life stretch across three continents. You can filter them by region: Persia, where he was born in Shiraz; the Ottoman lands of Aleppo, Adrianople, and Constantinople; his years of exile on Cyprus; a period in Bombay, India; and the Holy Land, where he spent his final years. Period photographs and views are used wherever they survive, and a single annotated map follows the route from Shiraz to Haifa.

Mishkín-Qalam’s legacy has been kept by his family across generations. With their permission, this section introduces his children and the living descendants who assembled this archive. Images are shown only where the individuals pictured have consented.
آرامگاه و یادبودها
Mishkín-Qalam died in 1912 and is buried near Bahjí in the Holy Land. These images show his resting place and the memorials associated with him.
